ADILA is a transcontinental professional legal network dedicated to connecting lawyers, legal scholars, law students, and institutions across Africa and the global African diaspora.

The idea for ADILA emerged from the recognition that lawyers across Africa and the diaspora must work more closely together to address common legal, economic, and governance challenges. Despite numerous bar associations worldwide, there has historically been limited structured engagement on a sustained, institutional basis.

Since its establishment, ADILA has sought to position itself as a forward-looking professional association dedicated to fostering legal leadership, promoting knowledge exchange, and supporting initiatives that strengthen justice systems across the continent and beyond.
